Tonight I received an email from Zaycon Foods that they are returning to Florida this fall and this time they are bringing BACON! (My husband will be SO happy!) For the new event, Zaycon Foods will be selling medium sliced Hickory Smoked Bacon for $2.95/lb! Each pound includes approximately 14-18 slices! Great deal! Your order will include 30 pounds which sounds like a lot to me but remember you can split it up and share it with friends, family, etc! If you haven’t gotten on Zaycon Foods email list, go HERE. Zaycon Foods will start taking orders Tuesday, 10/25/11.

That is a LOT of bacon! This might be a silly question, but can you freeze bacon? I assume you’d have to put it in a Ziploc bag before you freeze it. Does it change the taste or consistency of the bacon after it’s frozen?
I freeze bacon all the time. I buy it from the commisary cause it’s so much cheaper. Never had a problem, and it defrosts in some water super quick.
