Hey you guys – I hate to write this blog post because I have been such a huge fan and promoter of Zaycon since their inception almost 10 years ago. When they started their company, the owners of Zaycon actually drove a tractor trailer truck to my house to deliver us a box of 40 pounds of chicken so we could try it out before talking about it on my blog. Ever since then, I’ve relied on Zaycon for all of our chicken and ground beef. I know many of you have too. We actually have four pending orders going on right now (2 chicken orders, one ground beef and one shrimp).
Yesterday, Zaycon released a message on their website stating, “It is with deep regret that we inform you that as of June 25th, we are suspending business operations.” If you try to go to your account, you will be unable to. Their website is now just one page giving the message about the suspension.
The way the verbiage is written, it’s unable to tell if Zaycon Fresh is going out of business or if they are in fact just suspending business for a short time. I’ve read reports of some Zaycon drivers continuing to deliver meat as recent as today. That said, there are no promises their business will be up and running again. What worries me the most is that we are unable to get to our account pages and their customer support page has disappeared too. For all of you who have had money withdrawn on pending orders, I recommend you contact your bank and credit card companies and dispute the charges. Depending on your bank or credit card, it may take anywhere from 30 to 90 days to get your money back. Make sure you have your bank or credit card statement in front of you showing you when the charges occurred. You can also try emailing them at [email protected] although I can’t promise the email will go through or that they will read it.
I’m really disappointed to have to write this post. Our family has really enjoyed using Zaycon for almost 10 years now. I’m hopeful they will be able to fix their issues and get their business up and running again. In the meantime, if I were you, I would contact your bank and credit card companies and dispute the charges. Get your money back and then we will wait to see if they reopen.

Thank you for publishing this. I, too, hope they can reorganize to get back up and running. I wish they gave some more information so we would feel more comfortable with the situation. I do wish them the best of luck, though. They have been amazing for our family and for that, I thank them.

You are welcome for the info. I will keep you updated if I learn anything else.

This update is so very sad and disappointing. It’s only been a year since I found out about Zaycon and have since enjoyed all my orders. In fact I have two orders pending. Thanks for the update.

I’m glad you have enjoyed your orders thus far. Hopefully they can reorganize their company and reopen stronger than ever. In the meantime, please contact your bank or credit card company. I’m afraid you will lose your money otherwise.

I emailed them yesterday with my thoughts and prayers…and questions about unfulfilled pending orders that I have. Today I disputed charges successfully on one of my ccs but am going to have a harder time with another. My cross to bear I suppose. I wish they had ceased on promoting purchase of new food tho, I can’t imagine this “suspension” just occurred overnight out of the blue. That one thing makes me leery of ever being able to trust them again, but I guess we shall see.

I’m so sad about the situation, unfortunately what has made them go out of business may keep them out of business forever. They committed fraud with their investors and diluted the investors equity in the company by selling multiple times the same equity to multiple investors and that is why they are being sued by all of them. They do not have the funds to fight the lawsuit and continue running the company. They committed fraud as clear as it gets so I very much doubt they will have any money left when this is all over. Maybe someone else will take this concept and open up a company or buy out Zaycon and continue. I had 6 orders pending and got 1 refunded already since it was just ordered last week (breakfast sausage), the others are still pending with over $600 worth.
